Lijnbaansgracht

This building in the heart of Amsterdam offers three different living options: a guest’s room, an apartment, and a house, all located on a quiet street facing a canal. The south-facing façade fills the spaces with natural light throughout the day. The apartment’s layout is defined by a central box containing the service areas, allowing for a spacious living spaces. The trapezoidal shape of the box expands the living areas and enhances the flow of light into the apartment.

The second floor is dedicated to the house’s day functions, while the third floor hosts the private night spaces. The kitchen and storage areas are integrated along the walls, creating an open, flexible space where the dining and living areas can expand as needed. This layout caters to the clients' love for cooking and entertaining. The study room, located next to a peaceful patio, provides a quiet retreat, while the third floor accommodates the bedrooms and bathroom, completing the home.
